My dentist in Phoenix said 6 month cleanings are a myth for some people
I moved to Phoenix 2 years ago and my new dentist told me that for people with good gums, a yearly cleaning works just as well as every 6 months. My old dentist back in Ohio had me coming in every 3 months for years and I never questioned it. I switched to once a year and my checkup last month showed zero pockets over 3mm, same as always. Anyone else get told different schedules by different dentists, and did it actually matter for your teeth?
