TIL a hygienist in Tucson flipped my take on flossing picks
For years I told folks picks were useless and only string worked, and I'd argue about it. Then last month I watched a hygienist named Rosa work on a guy with tight contacts and she used a pick first to loosen stuff, then string to finish. She said doing both in that order got her bleed scores down about 20 percent on her recall patients. Now I'm second guessing how I explain home care to people. Anyone else changed their mind on picks?
