Am I the only one who took forever to try a vacuum bleeder on brake systems?

I spent 4 years fighting with brake fluid bubbles on my Peterbilt using the old pump-and-hold method, then last month I grabbed a $40 Mityvac and it pulled all the air out in 5 minutes flat. Anyone else have a tool they avoided forever that ended up being a game changer?

Man, the Mityvac is exactly that tool for me too. I avoided using a vacuum bleeder for years because I thought it was just another gimmick, but after watching a buddy do a full brake bleed on his F-150 in ten minutes flat, I caved and bought one. The old pump-and-hold method was such a waste of time and always left me wondering if I actually got all the air out. Now I can do a full flush on my truck in less than a half hour without any of that guessing. It's crazy how a simple $50 tool can save you from that much frustration. Why did I wait so long?

Wait, ten minutes flat for a full bleed on an F-150? That’s insane. I don’t think I could even get the wheels off that fast.

Yeah @david_palmer but vacuum bleeders can actually suck air past the threads if you don't seal them right.
