Heard a guy at the truck stop say he hasn't used a timing light in 10 years
I was grabbing coffee in Flagstaff and overheard a driver telling his buddy his shop just plugs in a laptop for everything now. Made me think about how I learned on my dad's old 7.3 with a light and a mark. Now it's all about the scan tool and software updates. Anyone else miss the hands-on feel of setting timing by ear and eye?

Ugh, I get that. It feels like everything's going that way, not just cars. I mean, my coffee maker has an app now, which is just silly. You lose that simple feel of knowing how a thing really works.
