Hit 500k miles on my old workhorse and surprised myself
Rolled past 500,000 miles yesterday on my 2003 Freightliner FL70. Started it up at 5 AM outside Tulsa and the odometer flipped right as I hit the interstate. Not gonna lie, got a little choked up. That truck has seen three transmissions and I lost count of injectors after the sixth one. But the block is original, never been opened. Ran a load of farm equipment 400 miles after that, ran like a dream. For a truck I bought used for $18,000 back in 2011, that's pretty wild. Anyone else hit a crazy milestone on a rig they thought would die years ago?

And that's the thing about these old rigs, they keep going long past when it makes sense on paper. The math says you should've sold it years ago, but the truck knows its routes and you know its quirks, so you just keep rolling. That original block is the real story here, everything else is just maintenance you'd do on any truck.
