Threw a CEL after I used anti-seize..." Man, that's exactly the kind of thing I see all the time. Everyone wants to throw that silver paste on anything metal and it causes way more problems than it fixes. Kinda like how people overthink oil changes now too, you know?

My friend had that exact problem on his 2018 Silverado. Used anti-seize on the downstream O2 sensor threads. Threw a code about catalytic converter efficiency. Cost him 300 bucks at the dealer to diagnose and fix. Turns out the copper in that paste can short out sensor circuits. People just don't realize how much that silver goo can mess with modern electronics.

My 2016 Cummins threw a CEL after I used anti-seize on the exhaust temp sensor.
