Stumbled on a stat about diesel fuel gelling that floored me
I was reading some cold weather prep guide last night between rounds of antibiotics in the ER and found out diesel fuel can start gelling at 15 degrees Fahrenheit, not the 0 or below I always figured. Been running my truck up in the mountains near Taos for years and never realized I was that close to trouble. Made me check my winter additive situation right then and there. Anyone else been running on wrong info about their fuel for that long?

Does it feel like it's always warmer than the forecast suggests where you're at in the winter? I've found that checking the "feels like" temp online instead of the actual temp gives a way better idea of how to dress. It's a simple trick that saved me from freezing on my morning walks last winter.
