Tried the new synthetic coolant flush on a 6.7 Powerstroke versus the old acid wash method.
The acid wash took three hours and left a mess, but the synthetic stuff did the job in under 90 minutes with no leftover gunk. My boss in Phoenix said it cut our labor cost on that job by almost half. Anyone have a go-to brand for these new coolants that doesn't gum up the heater core?

My old shop in Tucson swore by the acid wash for years, said it was the only way to get it truly clean. Seeing a 90 minute job with no leftover gunk would have made my head spin back then. That heater core clogging is the real worry, isn't it? We had a fleet guy tell us the Final Charge stuff ran clean in their older F-550s, but I'm still a bit skeptical of anything new.

My buddy's 7.3 Powerstroke heater core plugged solid last winter.
