Had a talk with a guy at the comic shop that made me rethink how I show my art

He said my digital paintings looked too clean, like they came out of a machine. Told me to leave some brush strokes and happy accidents in there, and honestly it hit different because he wasn't trying to sell me anything.

That's a solid point. I've been in that same spot where a random piece of advice from a stranger just sticks with you for days. There's something about the "too clean" critique that stings because it makes you question if your own style is even yours anymore. The messy stuff has a life to it that careful work sometimes loses.

Heard a buddy got the same advice and now his messy sketches sell way better than his polished stuff.
