I don't buy the hype around digital portfolios replacing live demos
Everyone says online galleries are enough, but showing work in person to clients gets much more useful feedback. It's a game changer for sealing deals.

But what about the feedback you get in person? A client pointing at something on your screen and asking questions right then changes the conversation. You can't get that tone of voice or see their real reaction from a website view count. Isn't that personal touch what actually builds the relationship, not just showing the work?

From what I've seen, putting your work online really does help get more eyes on it. I read somewhere that most hiring managers look at digital portfolios first now. It just makes the whole process faster for both sides.
