I quit using the eraser tool to 'be more confident'
My latest piece is a dragon that looks like it melted in the rain, and I can't stop laughing at it.

Remember my buddy who tried that same no-erase challenge? He ended up with a portrait of his dog that looked like it got hit by a frying pan. We still give him grief about it.

Damn, that's why no-erase challenges are pure chaos. Even a decent artist can end up with a pancake-faced pet. It's the train wrecks that make it fun to watch.

It's not always a train wreck if you plan ahead.

Honestly the melted dragon sounds way more fun than a perfect one. Iris_barnes87 has a point about planning, but sometimes the weird mistakes are the whole point. You learn more from a happy accident than a safe drawing. That pancake dog story is proof the chaos is worth it.
