I saw the weirdest digital art piece at a gallery in Denver last weekend

So I was at this modern art gallery downtown, checking out their new digital media exhibit. In the middle of the room was this huge screen showing a 3D animated hamster, but it was wearing a tiny suit of armor and jousting with a toothbrush. The detail was wild, you could see every little hair on the hamster! I stood there for like 10 minutes just watching the loop. The artist's statement said it was about 'the daily battle of personal hygiene,' which made me laugh out loud. It was so silly but also really well made, the lighting and textures looked amazing. Has anyone else run into digital art that's super well done but has a completely absurd concept? I'd love to see more stuff like that.

That hamster sounds amazing... honestly the best digital art finds are the ones that make you stop and laugh. Found a similar piece once of a raccoon piloting a spaceship made of old radios.

The raccoon pilot piece reminds me of a 2018 gallery show in Portland focused on junk-tech animals. That whole scene really pushed artists to find humor in old electronics. It makes you wonder what they'll use for parts next.

Honestly that artist's statement is the REAL art, trying to make a jousting hamster sound deep.
