Rant: that $120 matte screen protector killed my drawing tablet, don't do it
So I put a matte protector on my 12 inch tablet three months ago thinking it would give me that paper feel everyone talks about. It did at first, the texture was nice for sketching. Then the nib on my stylus wore down to a nub in about six weeks, and the little bits of rubber got stuck under the film and left scratch marks all over it. Pulled the protector off and there was a haze on the glass I couldn't wipe away. Turns out some grit got trapped under there and the nib was basically sanding the screen every time I drew. Now the colors look kinda dull in the middle and I can't unsee it. $120 for the film plus a new pack of nibs and I basically made my own tablet worse. Anyone found a screen texture that's cheap enough to swap out often and doesn't eat nibs alive?
