Unpopular opinion: zooming to 400% to check your lineart is ruining your art
I used to spend an hour nudging pixels at 800% zoom on a single 8x10 canvas until a friend looked at my screen and asked why I was drawing for ants. Last month I did a piece for a local zine in Austin and forced myself to stay at 100% zoom the whole time, and it took me 2 hours instead of 6. The wobble I was chasing at 400% is literally invisible when the piece is printed or viewed on a phone. Now I only zoom in to fix an actual gap in a fill, then I zoom right back out. Curious if anyone else here switched to working zoomed out and never went back?
