Warning: My portfolio site crashed right before a big submission deadline

Last Tuesday at 8pm I hit submit on my ArtStation link for a job application and got a 500 error. My whole portfolio site was down for 6 hours because some automatic plugin update broke the theme. Had to scramble at 2am to rebuild the gallery page from a backup.

Honestly, at least you didn't accidentally delete your backup like I did once.

Oh @angela728, I've been there too and it's a special kind of panic when your backup is gone.

and @taylor.brooke is right, that moment when you realize your backup is gone is just... ugh. i've been lucky so far but i know it's only a matter of time before i do something dumb. angela728 accidentally deleting hers makes me feel a little better about my own mess ups honestly. like at least i haven't done that yet, knock on wood.
