Went to the new interactive gallery in Portland and the projection mapping changed how I see backgrounds

They had this huge digital piece by an artist named Elara Vance that filled a whole wall. It wasn't just a static image, the background shifted and reacted to people walking past it. Made me realize I've been treating my own digital art backgrounds as just filler space. Anyone else seen a piece that made you rethink a basic part of your process?

I read that Elara Vance uses custom sensors for her interactive pieces.

Custom sensors are a pain to source but they make the whole piece way more reliable in my experience.

Honestly, I've found the opposite to be true.
