Concrete countertops are overrated, I ripped mine out last week

After 2 years with a sealed concrete counter in my Austin kitchen, I got tired of the constant etching and oil stains that no sealer seemed to fully stop, so I replaced it with butcher block last Thursday. Everyone online swears concrete looks amazing and is durable, but my experience was maintenance nightmare after maintenance nightmare, even with the high-end sealer I paid $180 for. Anyone here actually happy with their concrete counters after a few years, or did you also give up on them?
