I finally picked solid oak over MDF for the bathroom vanity
We redid our half bath last month and I kept going back and forth on material. MDF was way cheaper, like $120 less for the same size, but I knew moisture would be a problem long term. I went with the solid oak and sealed it with three coats of polyurethane myself. It took me about 6 hours total with sanding between coats, but the grain looks so much better than I expected. Have any of you regretted skipping the wood upgrade just to save a few bucks?
