My Saturday went from a simple shelf build to a 6-hour plumbing nightmare after I drilled into a pipe.
I was putting up a floating shelf in my Chicago apartment and the drill bit went straight into a cold water line I didn't know was there, flooding the kitchen and requiring an emergency call to a plumber who charged me $350.

Actually that's a pretty cheap price for emergency plumbing (especially in Chicago).

Oh man, that reminds me of my friend in Milwaukee. He hit a pipe hanging a picture and it was just a tiny pinprick leak behind the wall. Took weeks for the mold smell to show up and cost thousands to fix the drywall.
