Question about those 'no drill' blinds I installed last weekend
I was really skeptical about those tension rod blinds for my basement windows since I have a 48 inch wide opening. But after 3 tries getting the tension just right they haven't budged in a week. Anyone else had luck with these or do they eventually sag?

I read somewhere that tension blinds work way better in smaller spans, so you trying a 48 inch one is kind of a bold move. I saw a video where a guy had luck by adding a tiny strip of grip tape on the ends to stop them from sliding. Glad to hear yours are holding, I might try that tape trick if mine ever gives me trouble.

and honestly @shane_wilson i think the grip tape idea is genius because my main worry with these things is always the slippage. i had a similar situation with a tension rod for a shower curtain that kept falling down every few days and it drove me nuts. eventually i just wrapped some rubber bands around the ends and that did the trick, but now i'm wondering if grip tape would have looked less janky. i bet for blinds the tape would be way less noticeable because it's up in the corner. the 48 inch span is definitely risky but if you get the tension just right like you did it sounds like it can work. i'm actually thinking about trying those blinds for my laundry room window now since it's a weird size and i don't want to drill into the bricks.

Not sure I'm with you on the grip tape being less janky @coleman.hannah, I feel like anything sticky up there just collects dust and looks worse over time than rubber bands would.
