That drywall finisher in Denver told me to stop sanding between coats and just wet-blade instead
I started doing it 6 months ago and now each coat goes on so much flatter with way less dust, has anyone else tried skipping the sanding step for tighter schedules?

Bet the builder loves all that extra dust you're not making.

My uncle's been building custom kitchens for 30 years in Tucson and he'd actually say the opposite. He always bitches about clients who leave drywall dust everywhere because it gets into his finish work and causes warranty callbacks later. Idk, maybe it's just me but I've heard way more builders complain about having to mask off entire rooms than I have about looking "too clean" to clients. The dust from sanding cabinets alone can ruin a brand new flooring install if it settles before the topcoat cures.

Heard from a buddy who builds cabinets and he said dusty jobs actually make him look busier to clients, so @mila_murphy you might be onto something there.
