The Habitat ReStore in Tacoma flipped my whole approach to used lumber

I walked into the Habitat ReStore in Tacoma last Saturday for hinges and left 40 minutes later convinced that pulling nails out of old barn wood is way more satisfying than cutting fresh 2x4s, and now I'm wondering if anyone else actually plans projects around what they find there instead of going in with a list?

Went in for drawer pulls and came out with a whole pallet of wormy cedar that became a garden bench, still chasing that high. Those places are dangerous if you have a truck and weak willpower.
