Tried using a drywall anchor kit instead of just hammering nails into the studs for once
For years I just hung shelves by poking nails straight into the studs in my garage here in Cleveland. Then last month I put up a heavy bookcase in the living room and figured I'd finally try those plastic anchor kits from Home Depot for $8. Took me an extra 20 minutes per shelf but nothing wobbled or pulled out of the drywall like before. I even hung a 50 pound mirror over my couch without it crashing down at 2 AM. Has anyone else switched from the old school way to anchors and had a way easier time?
