Caulk gun trigger discipline, who knew it was a thing
I spent like 10 years squeezing the handle fully every time and wondering why my lines looked like toothpaste tubes exploded. Saw a guy on a jobsite in Nashville cut the trigger pressure halfway and suddenly the bead was clean and even, blew my mind. Has anyone else been doing the partial squeeze method the whole time or am I late to the party?

Ever tried pulling the trigger just enough to get the rod moving and then holding it steady instead of squeezing harder? That's the trick, it takes a few tubes of caulk to get the feel for it. I also poke a small hole in the tube tip and cut it at an angle, that helps the bead stay consistent without fighting the trigger. Once you find that sweet spot, you'll never go back to the full squeeze.
