Hot take: my neighbor's "simple" fence repair turned into a 3 week ordeal

Guy across the alley said he'd fix his falling fence in a weekend. Told me he'd been doing DIY for 20 years. Watched him use the wrong post anchors, mix concrete too wet, and level everything by eye. Two weeks later it's leaning worse than before. He asked me for help on day 15. I said nothing. Some people won't listen until they mess up. Has anyone else just let a neighbor learn the hard way?

lol that's basically me with my neighbor and his DIY deck. He spent three weekends on it and I just watched from my window pretending not to notice. Finally he hired someone after the whole thing sagged. Sometimes you gotta let them figure it out.
