I finally see why people use those pre-primed baseboards

Used to think it was a waste of money. Just prime them yourself, right? Then I spent 4 hours priming 12 foot boards in my garage last month. Dust stuck to every wet spot. Had to sand it all down and start over. Next job I'm buying the pre-primed, no question. Anyone else learn this the hard way?

Wait, you sanded them down and started over instead of just wiping the dust off?

Oh, four hours on baseboards? Good grief, that's a nightmare.

Wait, @blair990, isn't that kinda what you're supposed to do though? I mean, yeah four hours is a lot but if they're old and grody sanding them down is the only way to really get them clean. Otherwise you're just moving the dirt around with a damp rag and it still looks cruddy up close.
