Saw a whole wall of pegboard at the hardware store in Springfield and it got me thinking
I was at the big hardware store on Main Street yesterday looking for some brackets. They had this whole section with maybe 20 different pegboard setups, all painted different colors and loaded with tools. It wasn't just the usual gray board, they had green, blue, even a bright yellow one. It made me realize how much people are making their storage part of the room's look now, not just hiding stuff away. Anyone else done a colored pegboard wall in their garage or workshop?

Did you see if they had any red pegboard, or was it just those lighter colors?

The Home Depot on 5th only had beige and white last week. I ended up spray painting a white one with Rust-Oleum gloss, two light coats. It worked fine for my garage, sam_cooper. Just make sure to let it dry fully between coats.

Oh man, my buddy Nate went through the exact same hunt for red pegboard last month. He checked three different hardware stores and they all only had the basic colors. He ended up grabbing a white one and using that same spray paint method, but he rushed the drying time. The finish got all tacky and weird, so he had to strip it and start over. Total pain, but it looked great once he did it right.
