Took a trip to an IKEA kitchen display and noticed something weird

I was at the IKEA in Cincinnati last weekend checking out their kitchen setups for ideas. Every single display had the same cabinet pulls and handles, like they just pick one style and run with it. I looked at 8 different layouts and they all used the same brushed nickel T-bar handle. Has anyone else noticed stores don't give you a good sense of how different hardware options actually look in a real kitchen?

I mean, I kinda get why they do it though. Most people walking through aren't there to nitpick handles, they're looking at the big picture stuff like cabinet colors and layouts.

Totally disagree! Little things like handles totally make or break the whole feel of a kitchen, at least for me. Even if people aren't consciously looking, cheap or mismatched hardware can make expensive cabinets look cheap.

And honestly, who hurt you that you care this much about drawer pulls? I get it, I do, but the mental image of someone doing a full walkthrough of a model home and silently judging the handles is just funny to me. Like they're out there with a notepad writing "knobs: 4/10, too shiny" while their partner is just trying to figure out if there's enough counter space for a coffee maker. Next thing you know, they'll have a whole spreadsheet ranking the hinges and cabinet gap tolerances. But yeah, sure, the handles are the real dealbreaker here.
