Changed my mind about using a 0.3mm lead for everything

I always thought a 0.5mm was the only way to go for clear lines, but my boss in Tampa made me try a 0.3mm on a tight electrical schematic last week. The detail on the symbols was way sharper and my eraser didn't smudge the page. Now I keep a 0.3mm Pentel GraphGear for all my close work. Anyone else switch up their lead size for different drawings?

Actually, the smudging is more about the lead hardness than the width. A 2H lead in any size won't smudge like a B or HB will. The 0.3mm just feels more precise because the line is so thin.

It's funny how the small details can change your whole process.
