Foreman in Denver made us redraw the same stair detail 4 times, and the 4th try was worse
We were finishing a 3 story office build in Denver and the foreman kept sending our stair stringer detail back, saying it looked off. Each round we added more dimensions and notes, and by round 4 the page was so crowded the ironworkers couldn't read the cut lengths. I sat down with the shop guy and we stripped it back to 6 key dims and one section view, and it went out the door clean the next morning. Everyone says more detail on a sheet means fewer questions in the field, but I think that's backwards once you pass a certain point. Has anyone else dealt with a reviewer who wants every gap called out, even the ones the fabricator already knows?
