Had to choose between a 0.5mm and 0.7mm lead for a huge set of architectural details

Went with the 0.7mm for speed on the repetitive elements, and it saved me about two hours on the project. The thicker line held up better on the vellum for all the revisions, too. Anyone have a different lead grade they swear by for dense schematics?

My old boss always insisted on 0.9mm for redlines. Can't argue with saving two hours though, right?

My last firm kept a 0.9mm holder at every station, just like ruby_bell47 mentioned. That thicker lead really does save your hand on long days of markups. Your two-hour win proves the point.

Honestly @webb.hannah, that thick lead just smudges everything and slows you down more.
