Six months of fighting a PDF export glitch turned out to be a font issue
I do drafting for a small engineering firm near Toledo, and for half a year our shop drawings would randomly drop dimension lines when exported to PDF. We blamed the software, the printer, even the network. A coworker finally noticed it only happened with one title block template. Turns out an old TrueType font was corrupt and the PDF renderer just skipped those text objects. Replaced the font with a standard one, took 20 minutes, and the problem vanished. Has anyone else chased a drafting bug for weeks only to find it was something this basic?

Honestly, that's why I always check the fonts first now, it's wild how much pain one bad file can cause.
