Spent $400 on a laser level, contractor says it slows him down
I bought a Bosch GLL3-80 for $430 last month for ceiling grids. It's dead accurate, but this old timer on a job in Austin said he can shoot a wall faster with a water level. He's got a point for small rooms, but I'm not rebatting that thing on a 60 foot run. Who else uses a laser on residential and thinks it's worth the setup time?

Used to think lasers were overkill for trim work, but after fighting a misaligned water level on a long hallway once, I’m sold on the setup time. That Bosch is a tool, not a toy, and the old timer can keep his bubbles.
