TIL the hard way: the demolition saw blade I bought in Memphis lasted 40 minutes on a concrete slab

Went through a supposedly 'premium' 14 inch blade on a 60 foot foundation tear out last Tuesday. The thing threw sparks and just stopped cutting around the 40 minute mark, no warning. Checked the teeth and half of them were gone, the rest had chunks missing like it hit rebar that wasn't even there. My supplier in Memphis said it was my fault for taking too deep a pass, but I ran the same slab depth for years with cheaper blades that at least finished the job. Had to drive 30 miles to the only rental place that had a gas saw, lost 3 hours on the schedule. Anyone else had a new blade brand fall apart that fast? Or am I just cursed with the demo gods?
