Went to a steel fabricator in Tulsa, their shop drawings blew my mind

I had to drop off some markups at a fab shop outside Tulsa and they let me peek at their draft table. They were using old school mylar and pencil still, but the line weights were so clean it looked printed. Anyone else find it weird how some shops refuse to switch to CAD even now?

My uncle ran a machine shop in Ohio till 2019. Kept a 1978 blueprint machine running cause the old guys could read a drawing faster than any screen. Its like how some diners still hand write orders on paper pads. The waitresses never mess up, but the new kids always do. There is something about the physical act of drawing that makes people slow down and think. Digital tools let you copy and paste mistakes. Pencil forces you to commit to a line.
