Blew a hydraulic hose today, lost a whole shift to it
Working a sand bar on the Tombigbee near Demopolis when my 1 inch return line let go around 11 am. Sprayed fluid everywhere, shut the dredge down, and spent 4 hours waiting on a replacement from Tuscaloosa. Had spare hoses on the truck but not that fitting, so I'm ordering a full set of spares tonight. Anyone else start keeping extra fittings for every size on their rig after something like this? What's your rule for what you stock?

Exactly why I started carrying the oddball adapters too. After I lost a day waiting on a 3/4 JIC fitting that nobody stocked locally, I made a rule that if a hose uses it, I keep at least one spare of every fitting that goes with it. Sucks to drop the cash up front, but it beats burning a whole shift watching mud dry.
