I thought that new polymer cutter head was just a gimmick until our dredge hit a hidden log pile
We were working on the channel near Mobile Bay last month, and the old steel head would have been toast after that impact. The polymer one just flexed and kept going, with only a small crack. The boss said it saved us about $8,000 in downtime and parts. Has anyone else run these new heads in really rough ground?

Hidden log pile" sounds like my last attempt at DIY.

That "hidden log pile" feeling is so real. I've started seeing it everywhere, not just in DIY. It's like we're all just moving the mess around instead of fixing it. My closet is basically a hidden log pile of clothes I'll fold later. The kitchen junk drawer is a masterpiece of the form.

Is it weird that I actually find hidden log piles kind of comforting? Like, @laura_wilson totally nailed it about moving mess around instead of fixing it. For me, it's less about the DIY disaster and more about admitting I'm never going to organize my digital photos either. I've got a folder literally called "unsorted dump" that's been haunting me for three years. At least a log pile in the backyard feels honest, you know? My digital life is just a crying album of screenshots and blurry dinner pics.

My DIY projects always end up looking like abstract art. Tried to build a shelf last month and it's basically modern sculpture now. At least it holds one book.
