Just found a better way to handle silt curtains on a weir job in Baton Rouge

Was working a high-flow canal near the Mississippi last month and the current kept shredding my standard setup. Ended up doubling the anchor weights and using a heavier grommet chain and it held through a full tide cycle. Anybody else deal with silt curtains ripping in strong currents?

Doubling the anchor weights" is the way to go man. I had a similar mess up in Lake Pontchartrain where the wind just TORE through my standard setup. Ended up using concrete blocks instead of sandbags and it finally stayed put. Sometimes you just gotta overbuild it.

Wow, I used to think doubling up was overkill but you might've just convinced me otherwise. @martinez.paul that concrete block idea is simple genius, why didn't I think of that before?
