Pro tip: I used to think bigger was always better for dredge pumps
Last month I was running a 10 inch pump on a narrow channel near Baton Rouge and kept tearing up the banks. An old timer named Dave told me to swap down to a 6 inch and run slower RPMs. Night and day difference, I finished the job in half the time and didn't damage the shoreline. Has anyone else found that downsizing works better in tight spots?

What made you finally listen to Dave's advice?

Took me three separate breakdowns over burnt toast before I finally caved.
