Ran a 6-inch suction dredge for a month on the Snake River, then swapped to an 8-inch cutterhead. The difference in material moved was crazy.

Right? The jump from a 6 to an 8 is no joke. I ran a 5-inch for a season and thought I was moving dirt. Switched to an 8-inch and cleared a gravel bar in half the time. The bigger intake just pulls material so much faster.

Man, I can only Imagine. That's a serious upgrade in power right there.

Actually depends on the material though. An 8-inch can choke on sticky clay where a 6-inch keeps moving. Bigger isn't always better if you're not running clean gravel.
