Thought hydraulic thumbs were just dealer upsell fluff until I ran one on a job in Biloxi
Honestly for 6 years I figured a hydraulic thumb was just something sales guys pushed on guys who didn't want to learn how to pick with a bucket, and my old cable thumb on the 330 did fine. Then a guy named Ray let me run his 320 with a hydraulic thumb on a bridge demo in Biloxi back in April, and I was pinching rebar and busting slab off it all day without ever climbing out of the cab. Saved me probably two hours of hand work and a whole lot of cussing. Anybody else made that switch, or am I late to something everybody already knew?
