Vent: ran my 8 inch cutterhead 40 hours before checking the wear rings
I was losing about 15 percent production on a job in Baton Rouge and blamed the pump curve for two days straight. Pulled the suction side apart and the wear ring gap was nearly a quarter inch, way past spec, so I had been fighting my own equipment for weeks. How often are you all actually miking those gaps, or is it a yearly thing for most of you?
