A hotel remodel in Phoenix taught me a better way to hang board solo
I was working a 14 room refresh and had a tricky hallway ceiling, about 30 sheets worth. Trying to lift each one by myself was killing my back and slowing everything down. A framer on site showed me how to rig a simple deadman with a 2x4 and a couple of drywall screws, took maybe 10 minutes to set up. It held the board steady while I drove screws in, and I finished that hallway in half the time I budgeted. Has anyone else built a homemade lift that beats the store bought ones?
