Can we talk about that new lightweight mud pan I saw at the supply house
Honestly, I was super skeptical about the Marshalltown 14-inch Featherlite pan because it felt too flimsy in my hand. Tbh, I used it on a job in Denver last week and it was way easier on my wrist after a full day of taping. Ngl, the weight difference is legit, like holding a piece of cardboard. Has anyone else tried a lightweight pan and stuck with it?

That flimsy feel is exactly why I wouldn't trust it. My old heavy pan just feels solid, like it can take a real beating.

Totally get where @bell.jessica is coming from, that solid feel is hard to give up. But man, my shoulder is thanking me after switching to a lighter one.

Yeah I read this article about how lighter pans actually heat up faster and more evenly so you get better control. @miaprice you're spot on about the shoulder thing though, I had the same problem with my wrists before I switched. Bell.jessica I was skeptical too at first but once I got used to the lighter weight I actually like cooking with it more.
