Ditched my taping knives for a banjo in Portland, zero regrets

After 15 years of hand taping every joint, I finally tried a banjo on a 4,000 sq ft commercial job in Portland. I was scared it'd be too finicky to load and clean, but honestly it cut my time on flats by a third and the mud went on way more even. My corner work still gets done by hand though, nothing beats that for inside corners. Has anyone else switched late in their career and found the learning curve worth it or am I just lucky?
