Mud pan versus hawk for taping, I switched and won't go back

I spent 8 years with a hawk and trowel for inside corners because that's what my first foreman taught me. Started using a flat box with a mud pan last spring on a 40-unit apartment job in Tacoma and the corner consistency is night and day better. Anyone else made the switch and found the learning curve worth it?

Man, nobody talks about how much less wrist strain you get with a pan!

it's wild how we just accept dumb designs until someone tries the better way. same thing happened to me with vertical mice at work, now i can't go back. once you notice it, you see it everywhere.
