My tape gun jammed right in the middle of a big ceiling job
I was finishing a basement in Springfield and my tape gun just stopped feeding halfway through a long seam. I had to cut the roll out with my knife and found a tiny piece of broken metal inside the housing. I ended up finishing the seam by hand, which took forever. Has anyone else had a specific brand of tape gun fail like that?

Man, I always thought those cheap tape guns were fine. Finding that broken piece would change my mind too.

Nah, sometimes the cheap ones last forever. My harbor freight gun is still kicking after like five years lol.

I used to buy the five dollar tape guns from Harbor Freight and never had a problem. Then one snapped its plastic trigger on me while sealing a stack of moving boxes. The spring shot out and I spent twenty minutes looking for it under the couch. I keep a basic Stanley gun in my truck now and just eat the cost.

Spent twenty minutes looking for it under the couch" is exactly why I don't buy cheap tools anymore. Nothing like crawling around on your hands and knees questioning your life choices over a five dollar piece of plastic.
