Pigeon got into the warehouse and flew through my fresh mud

Last Tuesday I was finishing a big ceiling job in Toledo, about 90 boards of 5/8 fire tape, when a pigeon busted through the bay door and went straight into my fresh batch. It flapped around for a solid ten minutes, dust and feathers everywhere, then landed right on the wet compound tray. My helper chased it out with a broom but the damage was done, I had to scrape the whole first coat on that wall and start over. Has anyone else had a bird or animal mess up an active job site like that?
