PSA: I switched from corner bead to paper tape for inside corners
I used to fight with metal corner bead for years, always getting knife cuts and crooked edges. About six months ago I tried paper tape with a metal corner tool, and my inside corners are way smoother with less mud. Has anyone else made the switch and stuck with it?

Heard a guy on a drywall forum say paper tape gives you cleaner corners with half the sanding. Been meaning to try it myself.

@luna261 it really depends on the corner and your technique though. In my experience paper tape can be trickier to embed right and if you don't get it seated perfectly you end up with air bubbles that mess with the finish anyway. Your mileage may vary but I've found fiberglass mesh easier to work with even if it means a little more sanding.
