Back in 2011 I was hanging 80 sheets a day in a Phoenix subdivision with nothing but a T-square, a pencil, and a chalk line. I'd measure twice, snap once, and still end up with gaps you could slide a nickel through on the butt joints. Last month I finally bought a $150 laser level and cut my layout time from 45 minutes to about 12, plus my seams are tight enough that the taper barely has to work. Now I'm mad I waited this long to switch. Anybody else make the jump to lasers, or am I just late to the party?
